Grease Costumes - Greasers, Pink Women And Poodle Skirts
If you like the 50s then have a good time over Halloween and get dressed up in your fave Grease costumes. Grease costumes can work all by themselves or if you're going out with pals you can all get dressed up as characters from Grease. For girls you can all be a pink woman and the blokes can go as Greasers.
This is the time of the poodle skirt and for a total costume you'd need saddle shoes, poodle skirt, sweater set and ponytail headband or ribbon. This costume is located across the picture and is a costume that Sandy wears a lot. Poodle skirts are straightforward to make and you will find them at costume stores, thrift stores and vintage clothes shops.
Sandy also wears a different costume at the end of the film and this is one of the preferred Grease costumes for females. This costume includes high heels, tight black leather pants, a tight black off the shoulder t-shirt, black leather jacket, red lips and giant, provoked hair. If you're going as Sandy then blond hair is critical.
You may dress up as one of the other pink women. A pink wig or pink hair dye is crucial if you need a Frenchy costume. Ensure you dress in bubblegum pink skirt, shirt and pink women jacket. You may be Rizzo and wear tight black clothing. There are Rizzo wigs available in several different costume stores.
Men can always get dressed up as the classic greaser, hair slicked back, jeans, black leather jacket and white t-shirt. This is a very simple and really trendy costume. For those needing to go hell for leather you are able to add a motorcycle. This costume is also harking back to Marlon Brando and other Hollywood icons as well as found in the flick Grease.
There's also the more clean cut, athletic jock costume from the 50s that's seen momentarily in Grease. You want a pair of khaki pants and a letter jacket or sweater over a button downed of collared shirt. This is said to be a particularly clean cut look form the 50s. You may also dress up as the nerdy Eugene from Grease.
If you need something a bit fancier but still from Grease then take a look at the dance scene in the film and try to discover a dress in that style. This is a great look and you're still a personality from the film. This is a bit better suited for couples dressing alike but you can still have plenty of fun.
Costume stores will carry complete Grease costumes as well as accessories and individual pieces that might be utilized in a Grease costume. It's called colour run and Stain Devils do one just for that. I think other makes do too but not sure which ones.
