When she wanted to get her first dog, this female painter was eight. That same year, the small Boston terrier died but it left the young girl with a lasting impression. It is in her life where the noble pets have a significant role. Specializing in dog portraits, she is one accomplished painter. Visit this site for further information on pet oil paintings.
Going through every dog book and magazine she could find, this is how she spent every Sunday afternoon in the public library. A professional dog handler showing dogs in trials and dog shows was what she hoped to become during her early years. She was able to go to various dog shows as she spent her free time there drawing and sketching the animals at 13. Making dog portraits and using oils for painting were things she was introduced to by a friend at 16.
This specialty of hers is something that she chose even if she is quite capable of painting landscapes, abstracts, sea scapes, and other subjects. Being able to create and sell several dog portraits early on in her career told her that she had indeed made a correct choice. Using the dogs belonging to the members of the family, she used these for her first portraits. She created a picture of their own Boston terrier which a local pet shop displayed as they put up a notice about her paintings.
When it comes to a large measure of her progress, she credits two paintings. One is the painting she did of charlie black, the beguiling little mongrel the animal humane association restored to health and adopted as a mascot. When it comes to the other painting, it pictured a handsome Alaskan malamute, the champion phantom of the ice flue. This site teaches you about custom portrait of a house.
The expression and head are very important assets for a Labrador retriever they sort of make the dog. When it comes to a black dog, not only is hard to photograph one but painting it is even harder. A rather unusual picture was the painting she made of the statue of a jacket found in Tutankhamen's tomb. She painted Egyptian symbols in the background.
On several occasion, people have asked her to make portraits of other pets including horses. Both tangible and psychological is the help her husband gives. He even made a specially designed table that holds her paints and brushes. She herself made and stained the specially crafted easels and display stands on which she shows her work. To date, her biggest portrait was a three by four foot portrait of a Labrador.
Always easier to paint are the smoother dogs as compared to those with the longer coats. Do not expect her to pose the dogs. When it comes to dogs, they cannot hold their heads just right. She usually spends an hour or so observing the animal, however, so that she can remember his typical stance, the sheen and color of his coat, or those personality or character traits that are evident. In putting these traits onto the canvas, many people agree that she is rather talented.
She works from snapshots furnished by the owner. If none is available she takes a picture herself and blows it up on the screen. Things like backgrounds are left for the people she paints for to decide. Some people like it plain and others prefer to have sceneries. What she works on is a portrait per month because of family commitments. I like to take a little vacation now and then catch up with my housework.

Cat: The coat isn't so we can dress him up like a doll, it is for the winter. He loves snow, but ends up getting cold, so we are going to buy him a coat to stop him getting a cold or worse.

Awww, he is cute! I looked at all of the jackets, and I like the 2nd one the best. It looks comfortable, warm, yet would look nice against his coat colors. (The brown, would bring out his eyes!) Looks perfect for him. Just my opinion!
