Frequently Asked Questions...
I'm trying to identify the function of this device. The integrated circuit has text printed on it.?
I'm trying to identify a circuit. It was in a small, black, flash drive sized enclosure with a very small 3 conductor plug attached. Inside I found a few surface mount transistors and resistors as well as a 16-pin surface mount IC.
IC Data-
logo: Harris
top line: 11-330017
bottom line: H 136
Only the top side of the board is populated. The bottom has pads and vias that connect the layers, but no components. The bottom of the board has some copper text. It reads the following:
1989 15-100001 C
CM1
I found this lying around the house and I presume that it's some sort of specialized ID tag for some product. My deceased father may have used this at work, since he was a computer consultant?
I have searched google, but I can't find any information except the company that the IC's logo belongs to.
Answer:
The numbers all sound like "house numbers" which simply means that the part was custom labeled. H 136 was probably the date of manufacture code, while 1989 could be the date of the circuit board design.
Perhaps if you were to post links to some clear pictures of the entire device, someone here might recognize it.
